Hello up for consideration is an Artist/Architect made pair of Pie Eyed Mickey
Mini Mouse Halloween Costume Masks. They measure about 20 inches across by just over 13 inches in height by about 12 inches in depth...The Architect/Artist a Danish/American loving Father made these for his 2 young children some time around 1965 according to the older daughter who wore the Mini Mouse costume...These were very special pieces that were used at Halloween etc...and had custom made styrofoam padding to assist in fitting...please see interior photos for an illustration of this...please understand these are not cheaply made they are well thought planned in fact precisely made by the Artist by evening Architect by day. He must of spent countless hours designing molding these then painting them...The main body looks to be of fiberglass with the ears on both being a thin plywood. I don't usually get excited about stuff very often because you know it's been going on like 40 years and have sold items that were featured on the cover of auction catalogues...but the effort that went into these is really heartfelt...as a father I understand...and in the end it is elevated imp to a work of art especially when things are handcrafted...this would fit a child probably about 3 to 6 years however they are just exciting to look at...and could be put on presented on custom stands...They have clean precise lines with a bit of charm and warmth...the hat on minnie is felt as well as the flower with one petal is turned up to show the fading...please understand people pay thousands and thousands of dollars for factory made limited edition contemporary pieces Disney that really just get popped out of mold...like the one before it...and are quite often made in some other country. Hardly a piece of Americana in my opinion. If you have any questions or something to share please message me...please read above for a description on condition...please be careful out there it is cold and slippery. Warmest Regards,JohnnyJohnnyCrystal Est. 1987
