Up for consideration is a very unique adjustable bird cage stand made of Iron
and marble and in original paint. The handle is marked "Pat appld for" on the main handle. It adjusts up to about 72 inches high. It sports it's original paint with a interesting tripodal foot base with thick heavy inset marble. I can not for the life of me find a similar example in the historical record. As always someone will know instantly or maybe not. It is about 14 inches wide at its widest point at the base. The upper portion seems curve out about 12 inches thusly allowing possibly for a 24 inch diameter cage...or perhaps less. Please see photos as part of the description. It comes from a nice old estate of which this particular dealer kept most of the things that he couldn't find information on...the piece is missing the top finial but the original hanger is present. I believe the upper finial was much like the finials that are present at the bottom and mid way through. Free local pickup free local delivery...buyer pays distance delivery. Please understand that I want the piece to arrive safely so some disassembly may be required. If you have any questions or something to share please let me know...as I am always amazed by the wealth of knowledge out there in the ebay community. Please note the cage in the photos is borrowed and is new. It does not go with the sale. It is purely decorative and for photographic purposes. Best Regards,JohnJohnnyCrystal Est. 1987
