This vintage set of Georges Briard double old fashioned glasses includes 6
glasses. Decorated in black and 22k gold, each glass has a skull and crossbones with RX on each side above an apothecary label and names of different poisons including Iodine, Carbolic Acid, Nitro-Glycerin, Wood Alcohol, Potassium Cyanide and Paris Green. Near the bottom of the glass has Name Your Poison with a mortar and pestle, crossed guns, and crossed swords. This design is very collectible and very limited in the marketplace. The glasses measure 4" tall with a 3 7/8" diameter. Capacity of up to 12 oz. NOT dishwasher safe.Georges Briard was a world renowned Mid-Century cocktail glassware and barware designer who became an American award winning designer for his designs sold at high end department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller. He became hugely popular throughout the 50s to 70s.The glasses are in very good vintage condition. Free from chips and cracks. The glass is clear without fogging.
