40th President of the United States of America This is one of the rarest President Reagan pens I have offered. This is a pen was special made for President Reagan's surgery at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD in January of 1987. It was given out to his Doctors and support staff in attendance. While Presidential gifts including pens are often made for Presidential trips and special occasions I have only heard of one other pen made for a hospital stay or procedure. That one was when President Reagan gave pens to his Doctors and support staff after the assassination attempt in 1981. This is the only the second of these pens I have ever seen come up for sale. The other is currently listed. This pen is in excellent conditions and still has the insert that came with the pen. The package remains sealed. Printed on the pen is the following:"Thanks for your Prayers Ronald Reagan Bethesda Naval Hospital January 1987"I wrap all my packages carefully, please unwrap them with care.
