up for consideration is an Antique Victorian Cast Iron heavy well built tri footed garden chair. It measures 29 inches in height by 19 inches wide with a seat height of 15 inches and a depth of about 18 inches. The piece is an older patterened version that is of high quality. By that I mean it has 3 legs and a heavy duty stretcher system to hold everything together at the base. The later versions skimped on support system as in later times this type of furniture was deemed more of a display item rather than functionality...whereas during early times people actually stayed out for greater lengths enjoying their gardens etc...thusly pieces were functional as opposed to cheap fragile visual representations...that ended up breaking..
