Nixon Personally Owned and Used Golf Ball ONE OF KIND Nixon/Watergate offering.Item is a Richard Nixon "personally" owned and used Presidential Seal White House Golf ball - "Wilson Staff" (circa 1969-1971) with the authorized facsimile signature of President Richard Nixon - still has its original box.Golf ball was purchased years ago at a well publicized estate sale of the late William Rogers (President Nixon's First Secretary of State) held in Washington, D.C. The original owner, from which the item was purchased acquired many items at this historic Political sale and was told this ball was given to Rogers from President Nixon after a round of Golf! Ball has been used but only slightly with no damage and is slight yellowing from age. All of this alone makes this a desirable piece of Political/Presidential history! How often do you get to buy an Official White House Presidential Seal Golf Ball actually used by a sitting US President?With that said, The original owner decided to get this President Nixon White House Golf ball signed by the THREE people who would play KEY roles to force Nixon's resignation as President in August of 1974 for Obstruction of Justice, and other crimes/abuse of power associated with the Watergate scandal: Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein, and John Dean (Nixon's White House council who testified honestly about the cover up during the Watergate hearings and claimed there is a "Cancer on the Presidency").It took him nearly 5 years but finally got all THREE men to sign this Golf ball and all in his presence. All three signatures are in black sharpie pen. Even though, he obtained all three signatures himself, he knew this unique piece of signed Presidential history needed 3rd party certification for complete assurance to any potential buyer for peace of mind. He sent this triple signed White House Gold ball to JSA (a leading 3rd party autograph certification service) and obtained a JSA basic COA that will be included.After my purchase of the item I had JSA James Spence Authentication upgrade the basic authentication to a full Letter of Authentication LOA.
