Up for consideration is a fine old oval set still life by listed German artist
Hans Waldemar Brockmann (1877-1945). The painting measures 20 by 26 and is set in a traditional plain oval frame complete with original sealed back. It is signed "H. W. Brockmann 1918" in the lower left corner. It is painted on artist canvas board. The painting is a still life involving typical decorative objests such as vases silver etc..and a pair of floral display involving roses and and a varietyt of other floral specimans that I am not able to identify at this point. The painting is rather unsophisticated yet well balanced with a pleasing complimentary palette. It sports a no frills frame for good reason as the focus is on on the talents of the artist and his command of the medium. It is quite well done and should be displayed in a spot of your choice...in short the more you look at it the better it gets...
