44"x 26 pair(2) Large Antique Chinese Reverse Painting On Glass 19th Cent

Up for approval is a late 19th Century unique pair of large Framed Chinese
Reverse Paintings. Overall dimensions of each is about 44 inches by 26 inches with the view of the actual artwork being 11 by 15.5 inches more or less. These figural frames date from about the turn of the Century...the paintings are probably from the same time era or earlier...these were painted their present color some time ago but not yesterday probably 30 or 40 years ago...in short they do not display their original finish...however they are actually stunning and in the right setting one could possibly upgrade the adjective too maybe fabulous or whatever all I know is when I saw them I instantly had to have them... The come from an old Decorator's estate...she was dramatic in expressing her choice of coloration for one and although the estate was ancient it was very well kept... with fabric and books everywhere...but no pets or smoking...please understand that each of the pieces have a crack in the glass one more prominent than the other...please see photos...despite that they stable and enjoyable...please take a look at how they are constructed look at the back....there is some light seperation in the wood when viewing from the front...but if they were perfect they probably wouldn't be as interesting...
