Up for consideration is an ebonized Victorian Aesthetic Movement Etagere or
display stand with small built in cabinet. The piece is not overwhelming at all in fact it only 12 inches deep stands 63 inches in height meaning to the top of the finial and a width of 35 inches. So in reality it is a mid sized stand with lots of interesting options and of if very shallow meaning it stands out only 12 inches and that is at the center with the outer sides having a depth of only 10 inches. There are a variety of spindles, galleries and finials all of which are present. It sports it's original ebonized finish with handsome gilt work outlining all the things associated with esthetic movment...a variety or exotic designs related to nature and borrowed things from exotic cultures...etc. There are a few beveled mirror to add to the overall appearance. At the center there is a beveled glass cabinet with brass applique pieces and more tasteful giltwork. It is anything but bulky...and was meant to showcase your impeccible taste with exotic niceties. At present the original lock is still intact and I am going through my key ring to see if I can unlock the door...It sits nicely and is very well made...one can see the back with no funny business going on all original clean untouched piece that might be something to consider with a variety of applications...guest bedroom, front room or on a landing...where the stairs change direction...well you decide. If you have any questions, or something to share feel free to message me. Please see photos as part of the description. Free local pickup, Free local shipping and short distance delivery. Distance delivery is paid by buyer...we can also arrange shipping for you.
