Up for consideration is a fine wood hollow body duck decoy made by William Sharp
of Michigan. The decoy or model measures about 13.5 by 6 inches wide and is of the finest caliber. The bottom is made of wood and the piece is super light. It is also hand painted with glass eyes. The artist really went all out to capture the image of the duck in fine detail. It has glass eyes and very realistic colorations...the body has a molded sort of shape with realistic contours. Sharp worked as a Wildlife artist doing some very fine sketches and artwork. It was purchased at sale along with some of his artwork of which it looks as if he used it as a model for sketching.
