Ok Folks it's time to Lawyer up...as we have up for consideration a unique oak
possibly early Remmington Rand 10 drawer Federal filing Cabinet system from the Department of Justice. It stands about 54 inches in height with a width of about 15 inches with a depth of about 26 inches with handles...It sports original decal up top "Department of Justice 1303" FY and has "Pat.Appld For" stamped in each drawer along the side. Which means that of this type of cabinet with extending drawers would have been a design in it's infancy as the patent was pending...which means early as opposed to later. This unique piece has open sides and it allows one to extend the drawers fully out. It has a metal and wood system sliding wood piece on metal rail for holding cards...I forgot to photograph the interior but will do so in the morning...Could have held some very important information inside related to Prosecutors, Lawyers, Judges...or on a more somber note information relating to the dark side of World and the forces of evil.....please understand the "Patent Appld For", if it is Remmington Rand system would have been somewhere around 1928 and into the early 30's which would have been during Prohibition...a great piece of memorabilia which goes hand in hand with the times and the rise of organized crime...Gangs, Gangsters Mafia, Cops and Robbers, Black Jacks, Tommy Guns, Prohibition, Bank Robberies, Famous Gangsters...G-Men Good Guys Bad Guys Goodfellas Mafia...Snitches informants...along with the time era and it's possible historical significance it is also a nice functional piece that could help house and display period collections in a time appropriate display... of anything related criminal investigations the law... badges etc...knives brass knuckles you name it...spie gadgets ...who knows I am sure someone does...The piece is untouched meaning no visible repairs...original decals original varnish etc..but don't let me pitch to you completely as such as I am an optimist. The previous owner had used it since the late 1970's or so as a storage for cassette tapes... If you have any questions or something to share please message me...Buyer pays shipping...celebrating 25 years of commerce here on eBay thanks again...please be safe out there.
