FOR SONY E-MOUNT This offer is for a Canon FD 50mm F1.8 S.C. vintage prime lens, professionally modified by TerPhoto for cinematography and professional video capturing work. This lens is based on the classic Canon FD 50mm F1.8 S.C., a compact standard prime from Canon’s FD manual-focus era. Canon’s official Camera Museum lists the FD 50mm F1.8 S.C. I version as marketed in March 1973, with a 6 elements / 4 groups optical design, 6 diaphragm blades, 0.6m close focusing distance, and 55mm original filter diameter. The Canon FD 50mm F1.8 S.C. became one of the most recognizable vintage Canon normal lenses because of its practical focal length, lightweight construction, Super Spectra-era coating lineage, and classic 1970s rendering. This TerPhoto-modified version keeps the vintage Canon character while adding a special neutral oval bokeh modification that emulates the anamorphic look while remaining a spherical lens. No de-squeezing is required – simply add 1:2.35 aspect ratio black bars in post-production to create a cinematic widescreen feel. This lens covers a full-frame sensor, making it suitable for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras such as the Sony A7, A7S, A7R, FX3, FX30 in crop mode, FX6, and other E-mount cinema/photo bodies. It can also be used on APS-C Sony E-mount cameras, where it gives a tighter portrait-style field of view. The lens has been fully cleaned, adjusted, re-lubricated, adapted, and adjusted for Sony E-mount. A follow focus gear is installed on the focusing ring for more precise focusing control during video work, and an 80mm outside diameter cine lens hood gives the lens a more professional cinema-style front profile. Please note: the glass is overall in good vintage condition, but it has some small scratches, cleaning marks, and glass wear. These marks are typical for vintage lenses and did not show any visible effect on the image during our tests.
