Up for consideration is an authentic Antique Renaissance Revival Italian Grotto
Shell Piano Stool. It dates from about the 4th quarter of the 19th century. It's height is adjustable meaning it spins one way or another and the height threads up or down. The seat measures 17 by 18 inches...and the seat height is about 15 to 20 inches. The seat is modelled after a sea shell with the base sporting hairy paw feet.
