MCM Barrel Cast Iron base 48"d 5 chairs Woodard Salterini era Garden Patio set

$ 1250.00
Up for consideration is a fine quality heavy set outdoor barrel back low profile
club patio set. The table is 28.5 inches in height with a diameter of 48 inches. Furthermore the table is heavy...blah blah blah...listen when I tell you this it is important...the base is solid iron say it again it is solid and cast...which puts it ahead in 2 lanes. First it was made so that it could not be blown over secondly it was a quality item that was cast not cheaply rolled out with hollow tubular lightweight stock. As all the sets in the 60's 70's and onwards were more or less not cast...another point of interest is that the top can be removed from the base...a great option if one wanted to put it in the carriage house or garage for the winter. I have not seen that at all in the other sets I have encountered over the years. Please see the mechanism as there is a bracket that the base slots into. Another point it takes 2 people to move the table and the mechanism to hold the umbrella appears novel...The point of all this is that it is fine quality with nonstandard design element with superior materials with the focus on function and usability for the customer. The seats are very ergonomic they contour your body and have generous proportions. The seat height is 17.5 inches and slides down a bit. Chair height of 28 inches a depth of 26 inches and width of 26.5. I am a rather large guy and it suits me just fine. It is solid with an interesting zigzag design...not sure who made it, It has some elements associated with Salterini but the feet don't quite fit the bill. It looks to of Woodard quality or better.  All the chairs are comfortable have a few layers of crusty paint and have spent decades under the trees around the inground pool.     Please see photos as part of the condition report...free local pickup free local delivery...buyer pays distance delivery.
