Up for consideration is an interesting set of 7 silver plated Wall sconces from the mid 1920's. They measure about 11.5 inches in height by 9.5 inches in width...but please don't take the bait believing that the sconces are too small remember that bulbs and shade covers would take these from 11.5 up to 16 inches which makes them full sized larger sconces once dressed out. This classic style set are double arms with lined blue painted framing on the back plate. Each socket sports a pull chain mechanism which at that time was a real sign of quality...The set retains it's original wiring...and was found in the estate of a home built in 1928. This style of sconce with the swooping lower arms would have had flame figural bulbs, parchment/silk shades, or beaded bulb covers...which would offset the lower arms...This really is a nice set with very stylish design which is rather formal tasteful and elegant.
