Up for consideration is an antique 3 light cast iron hanging pendant light
fixture in complete with original coloration. The pendant itself including the original hanging finial measures 17.5 inches and overall drop being 30 inches. It sports original wiring candle covers chain finial ceiling canopy and antique mounting coupler. It has 3 interesting oval cartouches or openings that double as a sort of shade which would block part of the light coming directly from the bulb which would be less of an irritant on the human eye and perhaps for decorative purposes also. Not the fixture is rare or anything but what is hard to come by these days are good light fixtures in original paint as many were painted over every few years...and when changing styles or updating the fixtures these were thrown out or put in the basement, attic, upstairs, garage or shed. So to actually find one that still with original finish is somewhat lucky. Mind over the years these sort of fixtures were no big deal...because they weren't really fancy elaborate bronze French or Italian fixtures but there has been quite a bit of interest in these I say over the last 10-15 years as the advancement of interesting lightbulb technology adds a new dimension to lighting...so actually seeing the lightbulbs of these incredible designs has led dealers in light to shift to fixtures of "down lighting" etc that were considered undesirable. I also see some crazy prices on fixtures like this that dealers have restored or brougt back to original catalogue coloration with airbrushing and artistic finishes...and they are not cheap. Anyways you can see I am spending way to much time on this description rumbling away in a free flow of consciousness... If you have any questions, concerns or something to share feel free to message me. Buyer pays shipping. Best Regards,JohnJohnnyCrystal Est. 1987
