This style of cufflinks were given as gifts by the Vice President to visiting VIPs, dignitaries, and close friends. They have the Vice Presidential Seal struck in high relief polished gold plate surrounded by an outer cobalt blue enameled border encircled with the words:"VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITES STATES”Vice President Gore's signature is engraved on the reverse of each. The reverse of these cufflinks are matte gold.
