sculpture of a young African American Woman by Regionalist "Roger Pringle" (artist unknown) anonymous. It is marked on the base "R. Pringle." The scultpture has 2 masks intermixed within a pierced organic bioform mass ...It is quite an unusual and it has scale.The sculpture stands about 29.5 inches by about 19 inches by 14 at the base. It is the second of 2 Sculptures by the same artist each being listed separately. Provenance: Private Collection, Western Michigan. The painting was part of a very interesting private collection in Western Michigan...The fellow bought a old building of horse and buggy on mainstreet of small State College town in the early 90's and opened it as a Gallery...it transformed to a local theatre a nonprofit...a dance studio a coffee house meanwhile housing student on the 3rd and 4th...it is now in the process of changing ownership...most of the Art was stuffed into vacant rooms and in the basement...we were invited in loaded the elevator and for the most part it all lock stock and barrel. The good better and best as well as the Good, Bad and the Ugly...you can throw your addage in also at any time! I mean the collection runs the gammet so stay tuned for some real exciting stuff from Coast to Coast...self taught to Pennsylvania Impressionists.
