Up for consideration is a vintage Oil painting of a old Trapper shooting an Elk
while it crosses his camp. It is signed in the lower right "M.A.Kostelec 1949". The view from the front is 9.5 x 13.5 inches with the overall dimensions are 14 by 18.25 inches. The artwork is somewhat Naive but for some strange reason it comes together and is convincing...The work depicts an classic scene of Trapper shooting at an Elk as either dogs run it down or Wolves attack...not sure...my first impression was that it was an illustration for a young boys adventure book.
