This is a lovely Georges Briard cake stand. The gold gilded and brown design on
the scalloped edged plate is known as Sonata and features a bird/floral/geometric pattern. The base of the stand has flecks of gold. Signed Georges Briard. This cake stand does show light signs of use. The gold paint is lightly faded in areas. There is a discoloration in the center (mostly visible from the underside) resulting from the epoxy/glue that was used to adhere plate to stand. It has an 11 3/8" diameter and is 2 5/8" tall.
