Up for consideration is an extremely unusual Hand Wrought Iron Dragon Floor lamp
with a pair of swing arms holding fonts and a tripodal snake head feet. It measures about 51.5 inches or 130 cm in height about 16.75 inches wide at the feet or 40cm with the dragon measuring about 9.85 inches. The arms fold out to allow one to direct the light source to one's advantage. Remember these lamps were made in the days of Radio, board, card, games and the reading of the newspaper. The feet are of a snake head design with flattened head and pop out eyes. The fonts below the sockets make reference to early days of using kerosene oil animal fat depends on how far back you want to go... to light the surrounding area. It really fits into a lot of Old World ideas and design...great for the old Gothic Library, Renaissance Revival, Medieval times, Spanish Revival.
