Up for consideration is a fine old Antique Silver hand painted Religious Icon of
Our Lady of Kazan. The piece measures just over 10.50 inches in width by just over 12.5 inches in height. The faces are hand painted whereas the silver applique is hand wrought with Assayer's Maker's Town and purity marks. Assayer's date looks to be 1892 and it is from St. Petersburg. It really is a great one. It is nailed to the panes and of which there is old worn velvet as the back covering.
