Vintage Japanese Ceramic Smiling Buddha Face Trinket Box

This Japanese/Asian glazed ceramic trinket box features a smiling buddha face.
It measures 4" x 4" and is 2 1/2" in height.It is in good vintage condition. Free from cracks and crazing. The base has 2 small nicks on the inside rim and one of the bottom edges on the top piece has 2 very small nicks as well (shown in last picture). The visible black specks appear to be in the ceramic.No makers mark found.
