Up for consideration is fine old Antique Italian Renaissnace Revival massive
palatial figural carved sideboard. It is a stunning 90 inches in height by 80 inches in length with a depth of 25 inches. The surface height is about 40.5 inches. This burlwood piece dates from about the 1920's or so. It is characterized as having two massive figural Lions at the base appearing to hold up the piece as pillar supports along with a large figural carved Puttis or Cherubs on the Mirror harp flanked by cornucopias and seashells. It has wonderful lines with somewhat simplistic yet graceful design allowing the figural focal points to be highlighted. It has a few drawers etc all of which function. No keys. In short it is large stylish but not overly dramatic with full 3 dimensional carvings...please see how the carvings dwarf the size of our drill used for disassembly. Please note I have another same form no mirrorI purchased this and another (as part of the same set)...from a local restauranteur that imported highend Renaissance Revival European furniture for a large banquet facility that hosted Weddings and other events.
