This vintage HOMS Model 20 temperature compensated mechanical scale, originally
designed for professional laboratory and commercial use by the Douglas Homs Corporation in Belmont, California is as sturdy as it is stylish. Features a 20 lb capacity with easy-to-read 1 oz increments. Its classic cream/tan finish, stainless steel platform and large analog dial make it a perfect piece for Mid-Century Modern, Industrial, or Rustic Farmhouse decor. Marked Japan. Stands 10 1/2" tall with an 8" width and 10" depth. Overall the platform is approx 8 1/2" x 8 1/8". It is in good vintage condition. The needle moves smoothly and responds accurately to weight. The cover has cracks along the outer edge (visible best by using the zoom feature).
