The veiw or opening that is visible at front is 11.5 by 13 inches with overall dimensions of the frame being 19.75 by 20.75 inches...The piece is titled "Aiken Trixie" and is quite charming...with wonderful pastel coloration. It sports a gallery tag which may be related to the framing...on the back "Madison Deschamps Co. Incorporated 415 Madison Ave. New York. He was born in Boston and lived on Long Island, New York, and in Key West, Florida where he lived on a houseboat, "The Sea Dog". One of his murals, "The Dog House", is in the bar and lounge of the Sheraton Russell Hotel in New York. He was also an author and illustrator, and his publications include: "Pup Himself", 1943; "Burlap", 1945; and "Morgan Dennis Dog Book".He lectured on the art of etching and on dogs.
