Up for consideration is a small portrature Study of a young boy by Listed
Detroit and WPA artist G.M. Spicuzza (1901-1987) MI. The painting measures 11.75 inches by about 12 inches and is unframed. It is signed and dated 1977 in the lower right corner and is titled "Study Black Boy" on Verso. He grew up in Detroit and exhibited at the Scarab Club of Detroit. He sold his works during the 30's up into the 50's in galleries likewise through J.L. Hudsons. He participated in the WPA program for artists.
