drawer chest with original hardware and finish. The piece measures about 20 inches deep by 37 inches wide by 34 inches in height. The chest has a paneled back of which this sort of high quality construction was done from the mid to the latter part of the 19th century onwards however manufacturers economized and furniture backboards quality and construction techniques downgraded to plyboard and sheeting backs that were screwed on...you know during the 20s 30's 40's etc. The piece is extremely well built however it has some repairs down to the legs...It is heavy solid and really is built like a tank...
