Up for consideration is a charming old large miniature or small portrait of
a Jack Russel Terrier by listed and popular artist Maud M. Turner of the United Kingdom (fl 1891-1908). The painting is done on artist board and measures roughly 6 by 8 inches not including the frame or 15 by 20 cm. It is signed in the lower right likewise it is titled in the lower center however it is difficult to make out the dogs name...you really need a good magnifying glass or loop and the right light and angle...but the signature style palette size and theme are congruent...guaranteed authentic. I have owned this piece for years and finally put my investigative skills to the test...I love little portraits as such as they don't take up much room and they are easy to enjoy.
