Rustic Black Wooden Tray – Farmhouse Dough Board, Early 20th Century

$ 68.99
This primitive black wooden tray features a beautifully simple, timeworn design
with softly rounded interior corners and a hand-hewn look. Measuring approximately 16.75” long x 8” wide x 1.5” deep, it has a rich, aged black surface with natural wear that gives it wonderful character.

Based on its form and construction, this tray was most likely used as a small dough board, bread rising tray, or general kitchen utility tray in a farmhouse setting. Similar shallow wooden trays were commonly used in the late 19th to early 20th century for preparing dough, carrying baked goods, or organizing kitchen staples. It could also have served as a pantry or worktable catchall.

The surface shows authentic wear consistent with age and use—scuffs, finish loss, and patina throughout—which adds to its primitive charm. It has a sturdy, solid feel and displays beautifully as-is.
