Up for consideration is an antique historical Military painting by listed
French Polish artist Wojciech Adalbert Kossak (1857-1942). The painting is signed "Wojciech Kossak" for Wojciech Adalbert Kossak (1857-1942). The work of art without the matting etc. measures 14 inches by 18.25 inches and is in excellent condition. The painting is colorful bright and well down and looks to be somewhat of an upbeat work of art with bright blue skies and interesting action pose by the Uhlan Scout or Soldier. Many of his painting depict wintery scenes, showing historical battle scenes or men leaving or courting young girls while in uniform while mounted on a horse. It looks as if a scout was galloping by and realized he was in the presence of some very important ranking officiers...etc...it looks like Napoleon or French Military elite in the left background. I am not familiar with all the battles and exactly who and what this represents historical...I do know somebody knows. It really is a great work of art. It looks as if the artist was in his prime when he did this one...quite possibly around the turn of the century up into the 1920's or so as he really got this one right...it is truly a pleasure to view in person and needs to go somewhere or to rest with someone who is equally passionate about everything this work of art represents.
