Up for consideration is a fine old Antique Seascape by an Important Russian
artist Aleksei Vasilevich Von Hanzen (1876-1937). The painting alone without the frame measures approximately 16.5 inches by 22.25 inches in length with overall dimensions being about 21.5 by 27.50. It signed in the lower right please see photos. There is reason his painting bring huge dollars and that is because they are outstanding. This one, if one is to make an assessment of good better and best I would say in between better and best. It is about half the size of his larger works however the execution of this particular painting is not only appealing it is life like and with a few seagulls over the water it is believable.
