2037----1879 CHAMBERS/CLARK 136 ROUNDS HISTORIC BOXING WINDMILL POINT BUFFALO Original clipping, Feb 1914 from the Buffalo Express recalling the historic fight between Arthur Chambers and Johnny Clark (both from Philadelphia) which took place on March 28, 1879 at Windmill Point, Buffalo NY. Incredible details of this match which lasted 136 rounds, 226 minutes!! This clipping was part of an old Buffalo scrapbook collection, and measures 11.5 x 4. Expected discoloration from age, chips, wrinkles, etc Remains perfectly readable in acceptable condition. We have been going through some old scrapbooks just purchased, and able to salvage loose clippings, partial newspaper pages, and other remnants of the period 1909-1914. * * * * *
