2279----1863 TREMONT THEATRE FIRST YEAR PROGRAM/BROADSIDE - BOSTON Original 1863 one-page program from the Tremont Theatre, Boston. Rare, very early item from the first year of this theatre.  One page, could be considered a small broadside also. Undated, but we were able to find a news clipping (Boston Evening Transcript, Dec 2, 1863) about this event. Many of the names in the clipping are listed on the program. Good condition considering age -- Some wear around borders  Penciled notes on reverse about location which appear to read: "2 Tremont Theatre, 120 Tremont 1863, was where Tremont Temple is now." This was part of a very large collection we acquired from a frequent theatre attendee and future collector of all things theatre. Measuring 4 x 9. News clipping not included. * * *
