6028----1919 BABE RUTH FINAL GAME VS NY YANKEES BOSTON HERALD - HR #28 This is an original issue of the Boston Herald, Sept 25, 1919. Babe Ruth hits his 28th HR of the season, extending the record for one season. which was a ridiculous, unheard of total in the day. These were the last 2 games he played against the NY Yankees. The teams split a doubleheader on Sept 24, 1919, with Ruth hitting his homerun in game #2. The month of September 1919 turned out to be his last few games with the Red Sox, becoming a Yankee  just a few months later. This is an original issue of the Boston Herald. The Boston Police Strike is still being covered. This is the complete 22 page issue with all the national and local news as well. The first group of photos presents the Babe Ruth coverage, and then various items I chose at random. There is much more in this issue than what I presented here.
