About This Kit

The two bucket wash method is the safest way to wash your car without introducing swirl marks and scratches. By keeping a dedicated rinse bucket separate from your wash bucket, the grit guard traps dirt at the bottom — meaning your mitt stays clean every time you dip it. This kit gives you everything you need to get started the right way, including a genuine Vikan wash mitt and detailing cloth and a 500ml bottle of our Spiced Citrus Glow Shampoo.

The Two Bucket Method

1. Fill bucket 1 with clean water and shampoo — this is your wash bucket.
2. Fill bucket 2 with clean water only — this is your rinse bucket.
3. Dip the Vikan mitt into the wash bucket and wash a panel of the car.
4. Rinse the mitt in bucket 2 — the grit guard traps the dirt at the bottom.
5. Dip back into the wash bucket and repeat panel by panel.
6. Rinse the car with clean water, then dry with the Vikan detailing cloth.
