Martin Cox Chamois Finishers was originally established in 1979 as finishers and distributors of fine, genuine chamois leather. Whilst building up a customer base for the chamois leather it became apparent that it would be very useful to be able to offer an additional product. In the south of England a number of people were asking for regular supplies of stockinette (mutton cloth) so in the early 1980’s we started converting stockinette, then moved on to completely manufacturing this product from start to finish by the late 1980’s. Nowadays we still offer the same wide range of genuine chamois leathers in all sizes and three qualities, also stockinette polishing cloth in nine different qualities and in many sizes from small 100gm retail packs to the giant commercial packs favoured by trade users.
