Our co-operative of nomadic beekeepers harvest this Sumar honey naturally from various locations in Yemen's Hadhramaut,

PROPERTIES: Popular in traditional Arab culture for its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Widely popular with expecting mothers as a natural and efficient source of minerals, vitamins and active enzymes.
Our Sumra Honey is directly harvested in Wadi-e-Doan (Doan Valley) of Hadhramaut region in Yemen by the oldest beekeeping family, dating back to 800 Years. Sumra Flowers bloom in late spring until late summer, therefore it is only harvested once a year.
The rarity of this desert honey makes it one of the most sought after honey in the world.

Its unique taste combines deep caramel notes with a pleasant smoky kick. With a thick viscosity, this beautiful golden and heavy tasting honey pleases the palates.
