Up for consideration is an Antique Faux Tortoiseshell painted Paper Mache and Horn hinged Snuff Box. It measures 3.2 inches in length by 1.2 inches wide...The hinge is solid and in very good condition. These sort of things date from the mid 19th or earlier and were usually made for the English market however they could be found all over...the bottom portion appears to be made of Horn.
