Up for consideration is an Antique mid to late 19th Century Renaissance Revival
Alabaster base for possible center table... specimen (Pietra Dura) table
top...stand... fountain or bird bath. It stands 30 inches with the top diameter
being 13 inches with the base being somewhere around 16 inches. It is ornate
with Putti or Cherubs along the tripodal base which include fairy type wings.
This is an important piece because for a number of reasons. I It's old authentic
and has been signed by the maker...it has great form and is extremely versatile
piece that may have been used to hold a wonderful large bronze
sculpture...sample hardstone speciman table...Pietra Dura top fountain bowl...or
a great old important period lighting device or lamp. It has the initial WH and
possible Otto inscribed it could also be a marking that allows one to match the
top and bottom when craftsman were finished making the piece and transported it
safely to an exporter so there was no confusion of what belonged to what. You
don't see these elaborate pieces on daily basis here in America. Nonetheless I
like it and I am sure somebody else will appreciate also... these tables with
correct tops can run into the tens of thousands of dollars. Likewise who wants
to display their wonderful bronze or Art Object on a cheap reproduction base.
Please see photos as part of the description. Free short distance
delivery...all other distance delivery will be paid by the buyer. If you need
help arranging delivery we are here for you. Please understand that there is a
huge archaic iron rod through the center it looks like it may unbolt and could
probably be sent in pieces...I need to investigate this...however there are many

shipping and logistical concerns. Thanks.
