Antique Borzoi Greyhound Whippet Dog Figural Bookend Sculpture bronze patina 10"

Up for consideration is a fine pair of Vintage/Antique Figural Bookend or sculpture  in the shape of a Greyhound or Borzoi.  The piece measures about 10.5 inches in length with a height just under 8  inches...there are no chips cracks or visible repairs. Please note that they are mounted on Onyx bases with felt on the bottom. The dog is held in place as there is a threaded bar that extends from the dogs paws which one affixes a nut to the end and tighten from the bottom...They really have some wonderful detaileds lines that gives them a more sense of realism as opposed to a stylized Deco form. This dates from the 1920's or so. The collection of Greyhounds that I am selling come from a clean local estate of which the Doctor "Veternarian" collected Greyhound and other Veternarian items so please stay posted as I list more interesting and related items.    If you have any questions or something to share please message me.
