Antique Carved Wooden Parlor Lamp orig paint for Silk Shade Victorian Shabby

Up for consideration is an Antique hand carved Victorian Wooden urn shaped lamp in original paint. The lamp measures about 22.5 inches in height with a base diameter of 8 inches. It has wonderful carved continuous floral embellishments in an attractive and complimentary mustard yellow and green band around the main body...this same carving again repeats around the base. It sports 2 sockets with original socket pull chain inserts and original old felt bottom which allows for scratch free protection too your table surface. Thes types of lamps sported wonderful old pleated hand sewn silk shades that have always been popular...I can remember my own Grandmother making and selling shades as such back in the 1980's...likewise there are some knockout wallet busting shades that are available now by real artists...some reaching a few thousand dollars...but all in all they are real works of art...when talking about the shades of the past...for the most part people lived in a more relaxed ambient lighting with lower wattage bulbs etc...as radio reading and conversation was the rave.       We are celebrating 25 years of dedicated service here on eBay we stand behind all our offerings....always real...fresh and authentic... others think so too. Please be safe out there!
