Antique Gas Wall Sconces Black Forest Gnome Coat Hook Bronze Figural Walrus

Up for consideration is nice old pair of finely cast heavy French or German Figural coat hook style gas Wall sconces. These sconces are modelled after a German or Austrian Black Forest hand carved wooden coat or whip hook. The figural fellows in the back look like Inuit or Gnomes holding a walrus face with curled tusks doubling as coat hooks...to say the least they are unique and attractive. They measure 10.5 inches in height excluding light bulbs and or shades with a width of 9 inches. The tusks curve up allowing the owner to hang a coat from or an equestrian whip etc. There is a valve for monitoring or regulating the gas flow when lit in former times. The casting is very fine and the quality if excellent. They are heavy and to say the least very well made. If you have any questions or something to share please feel free to contact me.
