Antique Georgian style Bifold Doors Orangery Chippendale Gothic 76x79"we deliver

Up for consideration is an absolutely extravagant set of Georgian style bifold doors in good old textured or obscure glass. The set consist of 4 panels each measuring 18 5/8 inches wide with a height of 79 1/4 inches.  The combined measurement without hardware clearances tolerances gaps etc would be about 74 1/2 by 79 1/4. The wood appears to be walnut...the glass has a textured appearance and is slightly obscured. Meaning you can see through them but details are obscured... Each small section in the glass area on the doors are made of single pieces of glass individually cut and framed and held in place with fine trim moulding. One thing for certain they really have a look.  When you Google image the doors you really can't find bifold doors as such or anything as such in the antique indexes or refence guides...however the overall pattern is strongly associated with Georgian era Chinese Chippendale type cabinet doors etc... but they are largely associated with Orangeries...Oh an Orangery is much like it sounds...an extension or addition to an estate similar to a greenhouse with the sun facing portion of the estate with large open windows and doors to allow sunlight in too keep enclosed Citrus plants alive through the wintering months...meaning doors were built with great amounts of glass to allow sunlight...with a glass roof etc...whatever their purpose now is purely up to one's imagination...they have great amount interesting work in them as they are super fashionable...as dressing screens or mounted much like a pair of French doors...anyways that is up to the purchaser.  If you have any questions or something to share please message me... Buyer pays shipping.
