Up for consideration is fine old Mid 19th Century Renaissance Revival Oak small
curio cabinet probably used of Musical discs sheet music etc..It only stands
about 47 inches in height by about 22 inches wide by only 14 inches deep. It
comes in fine restored condition with good old functioning key. It has Male and
Female carved figures on either side with a lions head down on the back panel.
The front door opens with key...all areas have bevelled glass. The woman has her
mouth open as to be singing which leads me to believe that is music
oriented...parlor rooms in general were fitted with curios or side cabinets to
hold valuable pieces, discs parts sheet music cylinders etc... This piece dates
about 1860-70's or so and is probably European. There were American companies
producing things as such as Horner etc out of New York however I do believe it
to be from across the pond... Free local Delivery Free short distance delivery
