up for consideration is an Antique Oil on board painting of 2 children in mourning over the loss of a baby Chickings. This is actual an antique copy of a famous painting titled "Death of a Chick" by Italian artist Antonio Rotta. It is signed "copie M.L. Dennis". It really is quite a charming painting and looks to be done some time in the 20's or earlier. It measures just under 20 inches by 24 inches. There is some minor wear and paint loss...nonetheless a wonderful painting probably by a student.
