up for consideration is a very rare Exhibition Showcase Co. Henrich's Pat May 8
1877 5 section Ribbon Story Display Showcase. The piece is free standing and
measures 47 inches in height by 32 inches in length by 26 inches in width. This
wonderful cabinet was stacked at one time with fancy ribbons from all over the
world of which customers with assistance from the store Merchant would open the
case sections cut and or sell lengths if not entire spools to energetic
Victorian Ladies and others interested in decorating things such clothing
underwear hats...etc...This particular model is extremely old made of walnut and
may represent the first and earliest version of the patented Ribbon
Cabinets...other later cabinets by the same company were made of oak, were
stylistically more suited for the Grand Rapids era or Golden Oak era of design
and "Henrich's Pat May 8 1877" was no longer represented on the display tag.
This piece has both it's tags and all spool holder inserts. The middle larger
section is stationary as the two outer section open up all the way
around...please note that 1 of the brackets that has a pin that holds the outer
door is missing...it can be used but the door is simply standing and is not
attached. Free local shipping, Free short distance delivery...further distance
shipping may include a fee and great distances we can arrange or assist your
delivery person or company that you use. Likewise we can store it for you safely
until you decide on arrangements. Buyer pays shipping. If you have any
questions or something to share please message me. Please see photos as part of
