Up for consideration is a fine Modernist painting by listed artist illustrator
and design executive to Walter Landor of San Francisco Fame "Lillian Sader". The
painting measures 25 by 35 inches and is unframed... Sadler started her career
at the Chicago Art Institute but her primary career was as a graphic artist and
advertising expert ,and she worked with the famous ad man Walter Landor for over
40 years in San Francisco. She was one of the original “Mad Men,' actually one
of the rare women working in a male-dominated field. One can find her work in
the form of graphic design on dinner menus used by Pan Am flight during
inflight to Hawaii in the 1960's. Much of work has been left and is catalogued
at the Smithsonian Museum. It is literally impossible to find any original works
by this artist let a flamboyant stylized and aesthetically pleasing piece such
as this.
