Pair 2 19th C Oil Painting Maiden Allegorical Angel Italian J Ambrosini KPM era

Up for consideration is a fine pair of hand painted oil paintings of Allegorical maidens or Angels by listed Italian Artist Jerome Ambrosini (1810-1883). The painting without the frames measure about 7 by 9 inches with overall dimensions being about 12.5 by 14 inches. These are absolutely wonderful. lets start with the frames...they are beautiful red salmon colored velvet with applied brass corner appliques...The frames are free standing meaning they have an easel back and can be placed on a table or furniture or they can hang traditionally. The maidens appear to be floating in upon a dark backdrop...you stuff like this every once in a while but more often than not it is a print...these are hand painted works or art and can easily run with the best out there....After 26 years in online patronage it is certain that Johnnycrystal is a name you can trust...
