Up for consideration is an wonderful peasant painting depicting Mother and Child by listed Austria-Hungary artist Frantisek Mrazek (1876–1933). Overall dimensions are 18.5 by 24 inches with the work of art without the frame being 14 by 19.25 inches. It is signed "Fr. Mrazak" in the lower left corner.   The scene depicts a young mother with child sitting up on a cupboard while preparing food. The artist did an exellent job with the woman's hands which is thes most difficult part of the human anatomy to paint. It is well done and is a fine example of his work.  František Mrázek (1876–1933) was an early 20th-century painter and printmaker. Born in České Budějovice, Austria-Hungary, Mrázek studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow around 1900.
